Little Lights: MMFF Animation Category Finalist

Part of the Pinoy Christmas Celebration is watching movie entries of Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF). For this year 2015, also the 3rd year of the Animation Category of MMFF New Wave Section, Little Lights is one of the lucky finalists.

Little Lights is an animated story about Charlie, a physically weak but strong-minded firefly. He’s forced to face his fears of overcoming the darkness and finding his place in his firefly community.  But, in spite of his weaknesses and the indifference of his fellow fireflies, Charlie sets out to become stronger leading his loved one to safety when danger starts.

Little Lights aims to show that despite of being born with “lack of light”, we as individuals and as a community, discovers what it means to be empowered by our differences and similarities.

This animated story is a passion project of two artists, Rivelle Mallari and Regie Espiritu. Told using a combination of unique visual and musical artistry, Little Lights aims to inspire others to find their own light and to not be afraid to share it.

Little Lights will be shown this December 17 to 24 at
SM Megamall, Glorietta 4, and Robinsons Place Manila.

I recommend to you guys, especially mommies, to please watch and support this animated movie for this will instill good values to our younger generation. And yes, even to us grown-ups, who are still having a hard time on how we will value and use our uniqueness. My family will definitely watch this ^_^
